A-ZE is for Evil Parents and Rotten KidsI present you Jimmy Kimmel's annual "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy" video montage. It's an artful mixture of cruelty, humor, and ghastly awe. My favorite is Drawer Boy. Now there's an ax murderer in the making.Which is your favorite?

It is November and thus NANOWRIMO, National Novel Writing Month. The challenge is to begin a novel and write 50,000 words during the month. • Are You Teachable?
What? You think you know everything? I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no one knows everything. Oh, there is one, Hashem. He's omniscient. But no one else is. • Book Review: Georgiana Darcy's Diary: Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice Continued by Anna Elliot and Laura Masselos
I'm a big Austen fan and I love Pride and Prejudice so my fear was this would be a feeble attempt at sequel. I was pleasantly surprised. Georgiana Darcey, Mr. Darcey's younger sister, is now 18 years old and in love with her co-guardian Colonel Fitzwilliams. Elliot and Masselos do a great job fleshing out some of the peripheral characters from the […]

Meet one our special John 3:16 Marketing Network authors, Yvonne Pat Wright.

Yvonne’s book, From Spice to Eternity, first released in May of 2010.

A young-at-heart grandmother, Yvonne Pat was born in Jamaica. She spent the first twenty years of her life there, married and had her two daughters before migrating to the United Kingdom in the 1960s. There she attended Tottenham College and earned her Certificate in Business Studies. She also holds a Certificate: Seasoned Chef Cooking with Herbs and Spices from the SA Herb Academy.

After 25 years she returned to her native Jamaica. She worked in Advertising, writing news releases. She joined the staff at the then Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation, and for a time was in charge of Radio and Television. She’s appeared on both Radio and Television, writing the scripts for her programs.

She returned to live in the United Kingdom in 2006 where she wrote and published her first book, From Spice to Eternity, an intriguing journey looking back at her life and interweaving exotic details of herbs, spices and recipes. She reveals how her heart gets captured for life.

Visit her at www.spicetoeternity.co.uk.

About the book:

What does life have to throw at you to wake you up?

Spices and herbs does it for recipes, but in life, the answer is much more elusive.

From Spice to Eternity is an intriguing journey with Yvonne Pat Wright into her life of heartbreak, disappointment and despair and how she found her way to fullfilment and purpose through a love she never thought she would find. The book is a compilation of inspirational stories drawn from personal life encounters while living on two islands: Jamaica and Great Britain; stories of tears, loss and grief are balanced by joyous, exciting and triumphant tales, which above all, demonstrate the unrelenting and indefatigable love of God.

What does ‘spice’ have to do with it? Much indeed.

Each chapter is framed within the context of cooking with herbs and spices – a fitting metaphor for exploring and finding out how the common garden herb Rue ties in with the Jackson Five brothers, or what does Rosemary have to do with faithfulness?

An ideal present for both budding cooks and persons interested in self-improvement, From Spice to Eternity is a timeless serving of inspiration that will feed both soul and body with heart-warming stories and delightful, easy-to-prepare recipes.
