Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (NIV)

A-ZE is for Evil Parents and Rotten KidsI present you Jimmy Kimmel's annual "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy" video montage. It's an artful mixture of cruelty, humor, and ghastly awe. My favorite is Drawer Boy. Now there's an ax murderer in the making.Which is your favorite?

    • Stopped Cold by Gail Pallota
Things aren’t what they seem in peaceful Mistville, North Carolina. Margaret McWhorter enjoys a laid-back Freshman year in high school flirting with Jimmy Willmore, swimming and hanging out with friends—until that day. Her brother, Sean, suffers a stroke from taking a steroid. Now he’s lying unconscious in a hospital. Margaret’s angry at her dad for pushing […]
    • A Warm Welcome to Gail Pallota
Is there a story behind Stopped Cold?  As a young adult I saw lots of heartache in several instances when someone wasn’t number one. Sadly, the drive pushed some of them to destructive behavior. I could only imagine the pain they must have gone through and how their God-given talents were wasted simply because they weren’t “the best.” The fact that God gave […]

    • Remembering Fudgsicles
It is November and thus NANOWRIMO, National Novel Writing Month. The challenge is to begin a novel and write 50,000 words during the month. Since this occupies most of my focus for these four weeks I will be reposting previous articles each week this month. Fudgsicles, how long has it been since I’ve had a fudgsicle? I’m not sure, but they came to mind when […]
    • Are You Teachable?
What? You think you know everything? I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no one knows everything. Oh, there is one, Hashem. He's omniscient. But no one else is. Even Yeshua (Jesus) isn't. He doesn't know the hour or day he will come again. Some people rejoice in learning something new. I tend to be one of those people. I read about […]

    • Book Review: Georgiana Darcy's Diary: Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice Continued by Anna Elliot and Laura Masselos
I'm a big Austen fan and I love Pride and Prejudice so my fear was this would be a feeble attempt at sequel. I was pleasantly surprised. Georgiana Darcey, Mr. Darcey's younger sister, is now 18 years old and in love with her co-guardian Colonel Fitzwilliams. Elliot and Masselos do a great job fleshing out some of the peripheral characters from the […]

This first book in a promising series, takes place in 19th century Scotland in the Orkney islands at the time of the Clearances. Meet “Reflections” on John 3:16 Blog Hop Tour

Posted by elainemcooper on May 11, 2012

Posted by Elaine Marie Cooper

Welcome, Friends!

My usual post here every other Friday is my Revolutionary Faith column, as I discuss all things about book research as well as Colonial America, my particular area of interest. On the other Fridays, I post devotionals that will hopefully inspire my readers to draw closer to the Lord.

But this week a wonderful network of Christian writers and readers that I belong to is doing a Blog Hop Tour to spread the word about their wonderful books as well as their inspirational blogs. On top of that, John 3:16 (the network group) is also offering free books AND the chance to be in a drawing for two kindle giveaways!! Not a bad contest. :-) But you must leave comments to be entered in the drawings.

Here is the link to all 50 plus blog tour participants:

https://reflectionsinhindsight.wordpress.com/wp-mepvo1a-1vm/

So go ahead…hop around and visit these wonderful websites, leave comments, and hopefully, you too will be a winner of one of these prizes!

Those who leave comments on my blog that I have linked to above, will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of both The Road to Deer Run and The Promise of Deer Run. Please leave your e-mail addy so I can contact you.

Have a Blessed Friday!

Now available on kindle and soon to be released in paperback:
