Meet the author – Luther D. Powell

From Marion, Ohio, Luther Powell is an author and artist who aims to express messages of hope through darkness in his pieces, whether they be drawn or written.

He was raised in a conservative, Christian household and has been a Christ follower since early childhood.

Though his beliefs may be conventional, Luther gathers a lot of his inspiration from horror stories and films, heavy metal music and the difficult experiences in life.

Luther has been published in Splickety and OtherSheep magazines, and is frequently commissioned to draw portraits. He is currently a student at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, trying to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
